June 15, 2020The Spanish Ministry of Defence awards ITP Aero a framework contract for the maintenance of its aircraft engines
Alfredo L. González Jiménez, Director-General of Procurement of the Spanish Air Force Logistics Support Command and Carlos Alzola, CEO of ITP Aero, have formalized a framework contract under which ITP Aero will be responsible for the maintenance of aeroplane and helicopter in-service engines of the Spanish Air Force, Spanish Army and Spanish Navy. The agreement, worth up to 111.5 million euros, runs from 2020 to 2021, with the possibility of a future extension for a further two years.

In addition to the maintenance of engines and components, the framework contract addresses the possibility of providing technical assistance and engineering services on demand by the Armies, as well as the supply of spare parts.
The framework agreement includes the maintenance of the following engine types: Honeywell TFE731 and TPE331 engines; General Electric T700, J85, CF700, CT7 and F404; MTU/Turbomeca/Rolls-Royce MTR390; Pratt & Whitney PT6T-3, PW123AF and PW127G; and the Rolls-Royce Model 250 and Pegasus engines.
