May 5, 2022ITP Aero and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao celebrate a quarter of a century of working together by renewing their partnership agreement.
After more than 25 years of close collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao Foundation, ITP Aero has today renewed its commitment as a corporate member of the Board of Trustees.
This agreement, which will be extended for a period of five years, reinforces a long-standing relationship that dates back to 1997; the year the museum was founded, when both entities joined forces to celebrate arts and culture and the development of an institution that has become an international icon of Bilbao.
As part of the agreement, ITP Aero will continue to host internal and external events alongside the Guggenheim, such as the Technological Convention that brings together more than a hundred of the company’s engineers every year. This forum, held in the Museum Auditorium, makes the city a meeting point for the professional exchange of scientific and technological knowledge in ITP Aero’s different areas of work.
In its commitment to promoting scientific vocations among young people, ITP Aero has also held STEM events at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, such as ‘The Hour of Code’ – a fun day of programming aimed at primary school students. This successful activity took place last November with the help of Code.org, Innobasque and the Basque Government, and brought together around fifty schoolchildren who took their first steps in understanding the language of machines, through games.
The renewal of the partnership agreement will also bring with it the contribution of a significant number of tickets from the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, which ITP Aero will donate in full to its employees. It is hoped this will help to promote cultural vitality among the company’s team of professionals, and to strengthen the local roots of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in the Biscayan capital.
