19 students from the Dual Specialized Professional Training join ITP Aero

ITP Aero has started the second year of its Dual Specialized Professional Training programme with 19 student hires. 15 of them are joining the company's different production areas in its Zamudio facilities, and four more will be working in the CFAA (Advanced Aeronautical Manufacturing Center), where ITP Aero leads the Business Group made up by 58 partners.

ITP turnover up 9.9%, reaching 780 million euros in 2016

ITP recorded turnover of 780 million euros in 2016, representing year on year growth of 9.9% and in-line with the company's forecast outlined in ITP's 2020 Strategic Plan. During the year, ITP's Commercial Aviation segment saw a 20.5% increase in activity, while Defence activity remained in line with 2015 and In Service Support recorded a slight 3.8% decrease.

XIV Technology Conference “ITP 2020: From planning to reality”

During the 3rd and 4th of November, ITP holds its XIV Technology Conference at the Auditorium of the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao aimed at deepening into the technological aspects that are allowing the fulfilment of the goals the company has set for 2020. More than 150 engineers take part in this year's edition.

ITP starts its Dual Professional Training programme

ITP started its Dual Professional Training programme today with the enrolment of 19 students: nine are joining the company's central plant in Zamudio, where they will be working closely with the CFAA (Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Centre), and ten are joining the PCB plant in Barakaldo, where the company's casting operations are based.

Rolls-Royce Holdings plc acquisition of outstanding stake in ITP from SENER

Rolls-Royce Holdings plc will purchase the outstanding 53.1% shareholding in Industria de Turbo Propulsores SA ("ITP") owned by SENER Grupo de Ingeniería SA ("SENER"). The acquisition strengthens Rolls-Royce's position on its Civil Aerospace large engine growth programmes by capturing significant additional value from its long-term aftermarket revenues, including the high volume Trent 1000 and Trent XWB engines, where ITP has played a key role as a risk and revenue sharing partner. It also enhances the group's manufacturing and services capabilities and adds value to the Defence Aerospace business, particularly on the TP400 and EJ200 programmes.

ITP acquires 100% of casting subsidiary PCB

ITP has acquired 20% of the shares of PCB, which was in the hands of Switzerland's Precicast SA. Both companies had founded Precicast Bilbao in 1999. Through this acquisition, PCB will become a wholly owned subsidiary of ITP. Casting activities at PCB are strategic to ITP, as they allow developing a differentiated product offering in relation to other companies in the sector. In this sense, the operation is included in the forecasted growth plans that are part of ITP's current 2016-2020 Strategic Plan, which has recently been launched.

Framework Agreement signed under which ITP will perform maintenance on in-service engines for the Spanish Armed Forces

The Director General in charge of Acquisitions for the Spanish Armed Forces, Álvaro Juan Pino Salas, and Ignacio Mataix Entero, the CEO of ITP, today formalised a Framework Agreement in the presence of the Lieutenant General of the Logistical Support Command (MALOG), José María Orea Malo. Under the terms of this agreement, the company will be responsible for the inorganic maintenance of in service engines in the different air and naval fleets of Spain's Sea, Air and Land-Based Armed Forces.
