Rolls-Royce Deutschland and ITP Aero join forces for a world-class Wingman Engine

July 22, 2024The Spanish Air and Space Force awards ITP Aero the Framework Agreement for the inorganic maintenance of its aircraft engines.
The Chief of Staff of the Spanish Air and Space Army (JEMA), General Javier Salto Martínez Salto, and Carlos Alzola, Managing Director of ITP Aero, have formalized the Framework Agreement under which the company will be responsible for the in-service engine maintenance of the Spanish Air Force, Army and Navy aircraft and helicopters. The agreement will last for 24 months with the possibility of an additional 24 months and includes a total spending ceiling of 173.4 million euros.
During the signing ceremony held today, Carlos Alzola, Managing Director of ITP Aero, stated: “It is an honour that the Ministry of Defence once again trusts ITP Aero to carry out the maintenance of its aircraft and helicopter engines. The award of the Framework Agreement is further evidence of the reliability and flexibility of the services that ITP Aero provides to the Spanish Armed Forces. At ITP Aero, as Spain’s aeronautical engine company, we are committed to providing the highest quality service that enables the Armed Forces to perform at their best during their flight missions.”
In addition to engine maintenance and its components, the Framework Agreement includes the possibility of providing technical assistance and engineering services at the request of the Armies and Navy, as well as spare parts supply. With the signing of this Framework Agreement, ITP Aero continues its collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Defence in providing engine maintenance services and contributes to the operational readiness of the fleets of the Spanish Armed Forces.
The Framework Agreement includes servicing the following engines: Honeywell TFE731 and TPE331; General Electric T700, J85, CT7, and F404; MTRI MTR390; Pratt & Whitney PT6T-3, PT6A-68B, PW123AF, and PW127G; and Rolls-Royce Model 250 and Pegasus F402.
